Spartan Race Giveaway! #Aroo! {Closed}

This Giveaway has closed.  Check our most recent postings for other great giveaways.

Today, we have a free entry into any open Spartan Race heat in the continental United States.

I have wanted to run a Spartan Race for a while now.  Perhaps after I complete the Dopey Challenge next year, I’ll take one on.  Don’t get confused, a Spartan Race is not like any runDisney event we often blog about.  There are no costumed smiling characters to greet you along the course, only obstacles to challenge your body and mind.  Spartan Races challenge the entire body, from your feet all the way to your head.

Do you have what it takes?

Mulan would be an incredible Spartan warrior, just saying  ~DB

The Spartan Race offers events for all abilities, ranging from 3 to 12+ miles with 15-25+ obstacles.  Perhaps you will eventually work your way through all the options in a single year and become a member of the Spartan Trifecta Tribe.
While I have not inquired about yelling cheesy Spartan themed movie lines, I am sure they would be greatly appreciated as you are conquering the obstacles.
Watch the video below for more information about each of the races.  The inspiring sound track alone should get you to move away from your keyboard and start training.

Because I am not DisneyBride, I am going to run my giveaway in an entirely different manner. No rafflecopter.  I don't even fully understand what that is...

To enter this giveaway:

1. Leave a comment on this blog entry. Be clever, be funny, be creative! I will choose the comment that impresses me the most.

2. One entry per person, per day.  Yes that means you can wait 24 hours and post another clever or funny comment.

3.
Comments must be posted by midnight June 7th. Winner of the Spartan Race entry will be announced June 8th.

What should your comment be? Since I don’t want to inhibit your creativity, I haven’t figured out exactly what I want.  Go crazy!  You can tell me why you want to run a Spartan Race, tell me something funny, tell me why I am the greatest, or what ever floats your boat! (DisneyBride wants me to remind you that this is a family-friendly blog; so be creative, but G-rated - or at least PG).

Is it arbitrary? Yes.
Is it going to be awesome? Yes.
Should you come back and read the comments on our blog daily? YES!

Bring your “A” game, consider it the beginning of your mental training for the Spartan Race.

If you are not the winner of the giveaway, you can still be a Spartan Warrior.  Please use this link for 15% off any Spartan Race.  And if you running Tampa or Miami next spring, I hope to be there as well - so please say hello.  Finally, for more information on dates and locations of future races, see the Spartan Race website

Woah this is really cool! I've been looking for some new and different races to try. I ran a couple color races and loved those, so I'd love to try this! Thanks for the giveaway!

I know there aren't costumes for this race usually, but if I win this, I'm thinking I would definitely dress up. Hmmmm, now to think of costumes!

My husband and I are planning on running the Spartan Sprint Special Ops in Tampa so we'll try to find you there!

I do not want an entry but I did want to stop by and say the Mulan mashup photo is brilliant! Kudos to whoever came up with it because you know she'd totally dominate!

My goal is to complete a Spartan Race and become an official bad ass. The teamwork, mental and physical strength needed to complete one of these is quite challenging and I would like to prove to myself I can do it.

After checking the locations for upcoming Spartan Races, I've decided if I win I would do the Fenway Park race. It's in the stadium! How cool is that? Imagine if you had to climb the Green Monster...

Who would be first to cross the finish line, Porky Pig or Babe? I say... neither! Pumbaa would dominate.

I'd go to New York. I like a good road trip, and could use another medal for my wall.

Mud runs are the only place I can wear a tutu and still feel like a man.

A man walks into a bar. He sits down and orders a beer. He hears a small voice that says, "Hey, that's a nice tie". He looks around, and he's the only one in there. He takes a sip of his beer and hears that same voice, "Hey, I like your suit". Again he looks around, and he finally asked the bartender if he said anything. The bartender shook his head and went back to washing glasses. The man then hears, "Hey, I like your hair". He finally asks the bartender, "Did you just say you like my hair?". The bartender replied, "No. It must be the peanuts. They're complimentary."

Please, please let me win the race entry for Fenway Park! I probably won't get to a Sox game before the season ends and it would be a blast to be running around inside the park.

Okay, so i still haven't decided what I would dress up as, but I have recruited a couple of friends, so if I win, there will definitely be a few of us going :)

What a great blog! I love that you are giving away a spartan race entry. I might have to dress up like a chameleon and try to sneak my way through the course. This kind of race scares the you-know-what out of me!

My daughter just turned 4 and she is so excited to run the kids run at the Spartan Race. A family that plays in the mud together, stays together!

I need a free race. The emptiness of my wallet from race fees does not counteract the my pants falling down from weight loss.

Fun fact about Fenway Park: The Green Monster wasn't always green. It started out as navy blue with white advertisements on it. But that distracted the players, so the ownership needed to find a new color... and they settled on green.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to let you know that you both have very kind eyes and beautiful smiles. I just hope that you have an amazing day.

More facts about Fenway Park: the oldest park in the league, the seats in the grandstand are the original seats from years ago.

Spartan race is on my bucket list I missed out last year due to surgery. But my husband ran it and after hearing him talk about it he called it the Satan race cause the super Spartanin VA is difficult... I don't know if this Princess can handle that much mud Also I was truly inspired by team extreme who ran at the mid Atlantic last year to include their founder an amazing person

More facts about Fenway Park: in a sea of green bleacher seats, there is one red seat. This marks the spot where Ted Williams hit the longest home run in Fenway history.
